In a recent Facebook post, Sherod Duncan MP expressed his thoughts on Daniel Seeram’s decision to shift his political allegiance, acknowledging Seeram as a respected individual while questioning the motivations behind his departure from the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR).

Duncan highlighted Seeram’s remarks about “visionless” leadership within the PNCR but noted a lack of concrete proposals or personal contributions to the vision for Region Four in Seeram’s explanation. He stated, “I kept holding my breath, hoping to read how he had personally dug deep, crafted a vision for Region Four.”
For the past five years, Duncan has been active in amplifying opposition voices, particularly in regions where government-controlled media often overlooks them. He emphasized the importance of supporting opposition-controlled councils, remarking on the media’s tendency to only cover voices when they cross party lines.
Reflecting on his engagement with Region 10’s Chairman, Duncan mentioned the ongoing collaboration on significant issues, contrasting it with his experiences in Region Four. He recounted a past incident during a flag-raising ceremony where Seeram was disrespected by a PPP-appointed Regional Executive Officer (REO), stating, “we stood with him then, against his oppressors.”
Duncan concluded his post by acknowledging the changes in political dynamics, expressing a desire to remain respectful despite his frustrations. The post has sparked discussions about political loyalty and the responsibilities of leaders in shaping regional visions.
