VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT : Guyana Civil Aviation Authority Driver Wanted
Position: Driver
The Guyana Civil Aviation Authority invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the post of Driver. The ideal candidate must be mature, have strong interpersonal and time management skills, and take pride in their appearance. Preference will be given to persons living at Timehri or on the East Bank of Demerara corridor.
Role: To provide safe and reliable chauffeur services for staff, visitors, contract personnel, and guests of the Authority using company vehicles as and when assigned and requested, as well as to collect and deliver mails, packages, and other items as instructed.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Sound secondary education
- At least ten (10) years of experience in a similar position
- Must possess a license to operate a Car, Van, and Motor Bus
Specific Knowledge Required:
- Familiar with most types of motor vehicles
- Sound knowledge of the Motor Vehicle and Road Traffic Act
- Familiar with lubricants and fluids and their use in vehicles
Working Hours:
- May be required to work at any of the GCAA facilities, including the Air Navigation Services facilities (Timehri), should the need arise
- Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
