The Bishops’ High School, located at 84 Carmichael Street, Georgetown, Guyana, is inviting applications from qualified and experienced educators for several teaching positions. We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our esteemed institution and contribute to the academic excellence for which our school is known. The following positions are currently open:
Physics Teacher: The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Physics, with the ability to engage students in both theoretical concepts and practical experiments. A passion for the subject and the ability to simplify complex topics for students is essential.
Physical Education Teacher: We are looking for an enthusiastic Physical Education teacher who can inspire students to lead healthy and active lifestyles. The candidate should have experience in organizing sports events and promoting physical fitness within the school.
Modern Languages Teacher: The school is seeking a Modern Languages teacher who is proficient in at least one major foreign language. The candidate should be able to develop students’ language skills through interactive lessons, cultural immersion, and language practice.
Management of Business Teacher: The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of business management principles and practices. The teacher should be capable of preparing students for the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) and developing their entrepreneurial skills.
Economics Teacher: The Economics teacher should have in-depth knowledge of both micro and macroeconomics. The ability to relate economic theories to real-world situations and to make the subject relevant and interesting for students is crucial.
Additional Mathematics Teacher: This position requires a teacher with strong mathematical skills, particularly in advanced topics such as calculus, algebra, and statistics. The candidate should be capable of preparing students for higher-level mathematics exams and fostering a deep understanding of the subject.
