A $100,000 cash grant online portal is now live, allowing eligible Guyanese to register from home as the Government moves into the second phase of distribution.

Senior Finance Minister Dr. Ashni Singh said that once registration is completed, payments will be made directly to recipients’ bank accounts after a simple verification process. He urged citizens to ensure their accounts are active before applying.

To support the wider rollout, the Government said support teams have been deployed to hinterland communities, while a national call centre is available to assist citizens with the registration process.
The rollout follows last week’s payout to nearly 49,000 public sector workers, with the Government saying that injection totalled close to $5 billion into the economy.
Eligibility requirements
Government stated that eligible applicants must be:
Guyanese, and 18 years or older
In possession of valid ID

The Government said the initiative is expected to put more than $60 billion into citizens’ hands over the course of the programme.
