Michael Raymond Haralall Tamassar, an 88-year-old pensioner who was a suspect in the investigation into his wife’s death, was found dead on Thursday morning.

According to a police release, Tamassar died between 07:00 and 09:38 hours at the Bladen Hall School Compound Living Quarters. He was last seen alive at approximately 07:00 hours by his son, with whom he lived. His unresponsive body was discovered in the living room around 09:38 hours.
Detectives examined Tamassar’s body for any signs of violence but found no marks on the exposed areas. He was subsequently taken to the Buxton Health Centre, where he was pronounced dead by the attending doctor.
His body is currently located at the Memorial Gardens Mortuary, pending a postmortem examination. Investigations into his death are ongoing.
This incident follows the discovery of Tamassar’s wife, Lackandai Tamassar, who was found dead on December 31 with multiple stab wounds. Michael Tamassar was arrested at the scene and had been assisting authorities in their investigation.
The circumstances surrounding both deaths have raised significant questions, and the police continue to look into the matter.
