Bryan Max Criticizes Mikhail Rodrigues and Legal System in Social Media Statement

  • News

Bryan Max has publicly lashed out at Mikhail Rodrigues, also known as “Guyanese Critic,” following a violent confrontation that left him with serious injuries. In a social media statement, Max detailed the incident, claiming that Rodrigues pulled a gun on him, resulting in a wound above his left eye that required six stitches. He stated that he currently cannot see from the injured eye and will need surgery overseas for repairs.

Max expressed frustration over the legal response to the incident, noting that Rodrigues was granted bail of $50,000 despite the severity of the attack. He alleged that Attorney General Anil Nandlall and former President Bharrat Jagdeo influenced the police to release Rodrigues rather than holding him accountable. In contrast, Max claimed he was detained for 72 hours on two frivolous cyber charges that the authorities were unable to prosecute.

“This is the unjust legal system we have to endure under the PPP,” Max stated, highlighting what he perceives as a disparity in treatment within the legal system.

As the situation unfolds, Max’s comments have sparked discussions about the fairness of legal proceedings in Guyana and the implications of political influence in criminal cases.
