Vickash Sankar, a nine-year-old boy from Maria’s Pleasure, Wakenaam, was discovered wandering along the Heroes Highway at approximately 3:45 PM on Monday.

When questioned by authorities, Vickash revealed that he had come to Georgetown for a family event but had wandered away from the yard and lost his way back. Tragically, he informed the police that his mother had passed away and he had not seen his father for some time.
Currently, Vickash is living with his grandmother, Yosumattie Juman, also known as Mavis. He provided a contact number for her; however, attempts to reach her were unsuccessful. The child is now in the care of representatives from the Child Care and Protection Agency and is expected to be reunited with family members on Tuesday morning.
The family is urged to contact the Child Care and Protection Agency in Georgetown to facilitate Vickash’s safe return home.
