Restaurant Manager Robbed of $642,000 in Gunpoint Theft

In a late-night robbery on Sunday, an unidentified man stole $642,000 from the manager of a Smyth Street restaurant. The incident, which occurred around 9:58 PM, has prompted an ongoing investigation by local authorities.

According to a statement from Police Headquarters, the restaurant manager had just collected the daily sales and was in the process of placing the cash into a bag as she approached her parked car outside the establishment. At that moment, she was confronted by a male assailant who opened the driver’s side door, brandished a handgun, and demanded the cash.

The suspect then fled the scene on foot, leaving the manager unharmed but shaken. Police are actively reviewing surveillance footage from nearby CCTV cameras as part of their investigative efforts.

In addition, several individuals in the area have been contacted and questioned as the search for the suspect continues. Authorities are urging anyone with information related to the robbery to come forward and assist in the investigation.
