News Room Guyana Reported : Police are investigating a robbery under arms that occurred on Tuesday around 21:30 hours at Lamaha Street, Georgetown, involving a 30-year-old delivery driver from Prosperity, Mocha, East Bank Demerara.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the victim was riding his motorcycle westbound along Lamaha Street when he observed two motorcycles carrying four suspects approaching from the opposite direction.
The motorcycles reportedly stopped in front of the victim, forcing him to halt. Police said the pillion rider on one of the bikes dismounted, pulled out a handgun, and pointed it at the victim before allegedly robbing him of a white Trip motorcycle bearing registration number CL 6761, a cellular phone, and an undisclosed sum of cash.
The suspects then escaped in a western direction.
Police have confirmed that CCTV cameras were observed in the area and will be reviewed as part of the investigation. No arrests have been made, and enquiries are ongoing.
The robbery highlights the dangers faced by motorcycle delivery workers and the continued prevalence of armed robberies targeting vulnerable road users in Georgetown.
