The Guyana Prison Service is seeking the public’s assistance to recapture an inmate who escaped from the Lusignan Prison on Monday.
The escapee is Adrian Damder, whose last known address is 44 Graham Street, Better Hope, East Coast Demerara.
According to the Prison Service, Damder is incarcerated for threatening language.
Authorities are urging anyone with information that may lead to his recapture to immediately contact the nearest police station.
Members of the public can also contact the Director of Prisons on 613-6616 or the Officer-in-Charge of Lusignan Prison on 623-7156.
A manhunt is underway to locate Damder.
The Prison Service is treating the escape seriously and is working to apprehend the inmate as quickly as possible.
