None of the Persons Who Endorsed the PPP/C has been offered anything
General Secretary of the governing People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP), Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, emphasized that no politician who has recently backed the party has been offered any positions or special benefits. He believes these endorsements stem from a genuine belief in the PPP as a competent, multiethnic party that deserves to return to power after the upcoming elections on September 1, 2025.
Jagdeo stated, “I’ve seen a lot of attempts to vilify these people. We live in a free country, so people can express their views about what they see as defection and what I see as people coming to us because of the progress and the leadership given by the PPP to implement a national agenda.”
He further asserted, “None of the people, not a single one of us who have come to us voluntarily, has been offered anything. No position once we win the elections, nothing of the sort,” during his weekly party conference.

Key Endorsements
Several prominent political figures have endorsed President Dr. Irfaan Ali and the PPP, including:
Lenox Shuman: Leader of the Liberty and Justice Party
Shazaam Ally: Representative from The Citizenship Initiative
Daniel Seeram, Samuel Sandy, and Dr. Richard Van-West Charles: Members of the PNCR
David Daniels: Representative from the AFC
These endorsements reflect a growing coalition around the PPP as it prepares for the upcoming elections.
