Glenroy Roberts, 22, and Tahid Jacobs, 28, both residents of Dazzel Housing Scheme on the East Coast of Demerara, have been charged with possession of narcotics. The pair was arrested on June 6, 2025, and subsequently charged on June 10.
The charges stem from a police operation that utilized intelligence to conduct a cordon and search, during which officers discovered 28.5 grams of marijuana in their possession. The defendants appeared in the Cove and John Magistrate’s Court before Her Worship Ms. Orinthia Schmidt, where the charges were formally read.
Both Roberts and Jacobs pleaded not guilty to the charges and were granted bail set at $75,000 each. The court has scheduled the next hearing for July 30, 2025, as the legal proceedings
