Royden Daniels, a 29-year-old resident of Republic Drive, Triumph, was arrested on Saturday, June 7, 2025, and charged on Thursday with Causing Death by Dangerous Driving. The charge, which falls under Section 35(1) of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act, Chapter 51:02, stems from an incident involving Antonio Ignatius, a 52-year-old man from the same area.

Daniels appeared before Magistrate Clive Nurse at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges. Following his plea, he was granted bail set at $150,000. The court has scheduled the next hearing for July 3, 2025.
