Rickford Burke , has publicly called for the arrest and prosecution of Jennifer Ally, a member of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP), for alleged cybercrimes against the family of the late Adriana Younge.
In a post directed at the Guyana Ethnic Relations Commission, Burke condemned Ally for allegedly sending hateful and racist messages to Younge’s family. He argued that her actions constitute cyberbullying and called on Police Commissioner Clifton Hicken to take immediate action.
“Jennifer Ally must not only be condemned; she must be arrested and prosecuted for repeatedly committing multiple cybercrimes,” Burke stated. He drew parallels to the recent arrest of local artist Baby Skello, who faced legal consequences for lyrics about the Hindu Goddess Latchmie, suggesting that similar action should be taken against Ally.
Burke emphasized the need for accountability and expressed concern that Ally might not face the same repercussions due to her political affiliations. “We are watching and waiting to see if she will be treated differently because she is a PPP East Indian,” he added.
