In a Press Release on His Social Media Page Business Man Azruddin Mohamed has publicly reiterated his commitment to cooperating with any fair and credible investigation regarding allegations made against him. In a statement released to the press, he expressed concern that these accusations are diverting his attention away from serving the community as he prepares for the upcoming general and regional elections.

Mohamed stated, “It is unfortunate that I must divert my time and energy from addressing the needs of the people to deal with these baseless claims designed to damage my reputation.” He emphasized that over the past few months, there have been continuous attempts to attack his character and discredit his family.
He firmly rejected these actions, reminding the public that he has never been named a person of interest or a suspect in any murder investigation. Referring to a September 2022 report by the Regional Security System (RSS), Mohamed noted that it clearly stated there was no evidence of corruption or cover-up related to the 2021 murder of Ricardo Fagundes. He highlighted that the Guyana Police Force had also publicly confirmed that he was never a suspect in the case.
Mohamed expressed his commitment to clearing his name, stating, “This information is publicly known, and I remain dedicated to demonstrating my innocence.”
He urged citizens to remain vigilant against ongoing political efforts aimed at undermining his credibility and hindering his campaign. “These attacks are politically motivated, planned by the threatened PPP and executed by their associates to push false narratives,” he claimed.
Among the tactics he alleged have been used against him are:
Defamation of his family in the media
Blocking his visits to indigenous communities
False accusations of tax evasion
False allegations of rape
Reviving baseless murder allegations
In closing, Mohamed called on all Guyanese to support a fair electoral process, free from political mischief and abuse of power. “Let us all work together to ensure that our democracy is upheld,” he urged.
As the elections approach, the political landscape remains tense, and Mohamed’s statements underscore the critical importance of transparency and integrity in the electoral process.
