A 53-year-old Barrack Labourer of Sparendaam, identified as Andre Stuger, has been charged with the offence of Rape of a Child under 16 Years, contrary to Section 10(3) of the Sexual Offences Act, Chapter 8:03.
Stuger was arrested on June 25, 2025, and formally charged today (June 27) by ranks of the Sparendaam Police Station.
At approximately 15:30 hrs, he appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court #2 before Her Worship Magistrate Abigail Gibbs. The charge was read to him, and he was not required to plead. He was subsequently remanded to prison.
The case has been adjourned to August 4, 2025, for report.
