Founding Members of ANUG, Ramkarran and Jonas, Resign from Party

Ralph Ramkarran and Timothy Jonas, founding members of A New and United Guyana (ANUG), have both announced their resignations from the party.

Ramkarran, who served as the presidential candidate for ANUG in the 2020 elections, informed party leader Mark France of his decision, stating, “As you know, I have not been active in ANUG for about five years now, and I have paid no membership dues. I am therefore unclear of my status. In the event that I still remain on the books as a member, I hereby formally tender my resignation.”

Jonas confirmed his resignation in a social media post, writing, “This serves to inform that today I resigned as a member of A New and United Guyana.”

Their resignations come amid reports that ANUG will join forces with We Invest in Nationhood (WIN), led by US-sanctioned businessman Azruddin Mohamed, to contest the upcoming general and regional elections.
