The Ministry of Home Affairs has expressed grave concern regarding the circulation of explicit videos on social media platforms that appear to document an alleged sexual assault involving a female victim.
In light of the seriousness of this matter, the Guyana Police Force has initiated a formal investigation in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security.
The Ministry urges the public to refrain from sharing these videos out of respect for the victim and the integrity of the investigation. The Guyana Police Force is actively working to identify and make contact with the victim involved in the incident.
Members of the public who have any relevant information are encouraged to contact the 4B Divisional Headquarters at Diamond, East Bank Demerara, or report to the nearest police station.
