Newyork : Investigation Launched into Death of 9-Year-Old Melina Frattolin

  • News

City News Reports : The death of 9-year-old Melina Frattolin, whose father initially reported her missing and possibly abducted, is now the subject of a police investigation due to inconsistencies in his account. The girl’s body was discovered on Sunday in Ticonderoga, approximately 30 miles east of Lake George.

Luciano Frattolin, Melina’s father, reported her missing late Saturday evening. Both he and Melina were identified by authorities as residents of Canada. As the investigation unfolded, law enforcement uncovered discrepancies in Frattolin’s timeline and narrative regarding the events surrounding his daughter’s disappearance.

New York State Police stated, “At this time, there is no indication that an abduction occurred, and there is no threat to the public.” Further details on the inconsistencies have not been disclosed.

The search for Melina involved K9 and aviation units, reflecting the urgency of the situation. Law enforcement officials announced a news conference scheduled for Monday to provide updates on the case.

Frattolin’s current whereabouts remain unclear, and he has not responded to multiple requests for comments through social media platforms and his company website. On his Instagram profile, he describes himself as a “loving father,” and a post on his coffee company’s website emphasizes Melina as “the light of his life.”

As the investigation continues, the community remains in shock over the tragic loss of the young girl.
