Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR Executive Kristin Cabot Leave Company Amid Controversy

  • News

People Reports : Byron’s resignation came after he was seen wrapping his arms around Cabot during the concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, on July 16. Their reaction to being caught on the kiss cam—Cabot covering her face while Byron ducked—prompted Coldplay’s lead singer, Chris Martin, to jokingly suggest they might be having an “affair.” This moment quickly went viral, sparking a media frenzy filled with memes and discussions about privacy in the digital age.

Days after Astronomer CEO Andy Byron resigned following a viral moment at a Coldplay concert, the company confirmed that Kristin Cabot, the human resources executive, has also left her role.

A representative for Astronomer confirmed that Cabot, the chief people officer, has resigned and is no longer with the company. Byron’s resignation was announced on Saturday, July 19, with Cabot’s departure following shortly after.

Neither Byron nor Cabot has publicly addressed the nature of their relationship, and both are reportedly married. The incident has raised questions about the boundaries of personal and professional lives, particularly in an age where digital moments can quickly become public scandals.
