Charles Albert Mackinnon, a 62-year-old originally from Guyana, is seeking assistance in reconnecting with his family after being separated for over 40 years. Mackinnon left Guyana at the age of 20 during a time of crisis and subsequently arrived in Venezuela, where he faced significant challenges, including language barriers and isolation.

Charles Albert Mackinnon,

Currently residing in La Horqueta, a town in the Delta Amacuro state, Mackinnon has been living there for about five years. He was welcomed by the local community, who have supported him in finding work and integrating into their lives. His friend, Ashley Ordaz, a Venezuelan citizen, has taken the initiative to create a Facebook profile to help raise awareness about Mackinnon’s situation.

“Mr. Mackinnon is a good person who has become part of our community,” Ordaz stated. “We see that he is alone and wish to help him contact his family. He does not have the means to return to Guyana, and we hope that with your help, we can find them.”

Mackinnon is particularly trying to reach out to his mother, Yeni Mackinnon, who lives in Hosororo, North West Guyana. Anyone with information or leads is encouraged to reach out. He can be contacted via WhatsApp at +41 279 38612.

The community is united in their desire to help Mackinnon reconnect with his loved ones, emphasizing the importance of family ties, especially for someone who has faced such challenges in a foreign land.

Mackinnon has been living in Venezuela and is hopeful that this plea will help bridge the gap between him and his loved ones. He is asking anyone who might have information about his family to reach out.

For any leads, Mackinnon can be contacted via WhatsApp at +41 279 38612. His heartfelt wish is to hear from family members and rekindle the bonds that have been lost over the years.
