As the disciplined services prepare to vote on Friday ahead of the September 1 elections, politician James Bond emphasized that no party has supported police officers more than the People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C).
In an interview, Bond stated, “No other party has done more for police officers than the PPP/C—in bonuses, education, housing, and bursaries for your children.” He highlighted the restoration of the tax-free Christmas bonus, free training, and promotion opportunities as evidence of government support.
Bond argued that the PPP/C’s achievements in office, including nearly 50,000 house lots distributed since 2020, surpass those of previous administrations. He also praised President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali for restoring the tax-free bonus and increasing the minimum wage for junior ranks.
“The choice is clear. The PPP/C has always put you first,” Bond concluded, urging disciplined services members to vote wisely.
