President Ali Advocates for Robotic-Assisted Surgeries in Guyana

President Dr. Irfaan Ali emphasized the need for Guyana’s healthcare system to incorporate advanced technology, including robotic assistance for surgeries.

Speaking at the new Lima Regional Hospital commissioning in Region Two, he highlighted that robots could connect patients with specialists in Georgetown or globally.

Ali stressed the importance of adopting cutting-edge medical technology, stating, “This is the way the world is going. We have to get there now, not tomorrow.”
