Tsoi, a resident of Lot 19 Alness Village, Corentyne Berbice, is accused of participating in a series of robberies. The first incident, which took place on February 23, 2026, involved the use of a firearm to rob Stephen Ramsingh of $25,000 on Bullet Wood Street, Rose Hall Town. The same day, Tsoi and accomplices allegedly stole a motor vehicle valued at $3.3 million from Petal Sabsook at Ramsingh’s home.

Additionally, Tsoi faces another charge for an armed robbery that occurred on February 28, 2026, at a supermarket in Rose Hall Town, resulting in the theft of $1.5 million from Gurudat Sudhai.

Upon presenting the charges, Tsoi pleaded not guilty. Police Prosecutor Sergeant Mark Edwards opposed bail, emphasizing the serious nature and frequency of the alleged crimes.

In a bid for bail, Tsoi’s lawyers, Akeim Lamkim and Kevin Morgan, asserted that their client had sustained injuries while in custody, claiming he was beaten and exhibiting approximately 100 burn marks on his face, back, legs, and feet.

Magistrate Matthias ultimately approved bail, setting it at $100,000 for each robbery charge. The case has been postponed until March 20, 2026.

Tsoi will remain in custody as he is expected to face additional charges, including Robbery Under Arms, Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of Ammunition, which are anticipated to be filed against him shortly.
