Ann’s Grove Excavator Operator Sentenced for Simple Larceny

Rawle Munroe, a 40-year-old excavator operator from Two Friends Village, Ann’s Grove, has been sentenced to 24 months in prison following his guilty plea to charges of Simple Larceny.

Munroe was arrested on Monday, January 6, 2026, stemming from an incident involving Ramdeo Persaud at Enmore, East Coast Demerara. The charge was formally presented to Munroe during his arraignment at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court on January 7, 2026, before Magistrate Sunil Scarce.

Following his admission of guilt, Judge Scarce imposed the two-year prison sentence, highlighting the serious nature of the offense. The case underscores ongoing issues related to theft in the region and serves as a reminder of the legal consequences associated with such crimes.
