News Room Reports : Business Man Azruddin Mohamed, Who was recently sanctioned by the U.S. government has officially named his political party “We Invest in Nationhood.”
This announcement was made by Charles Sugrim, a former associate of the Alliance For Change (AFC), who has been actively canvassing for Mohamed.

Sugrim spoke to reporters on Thursday after a meeting involving political party representatives and the Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM). The discussions focused on the upcoming general and regional elections scheduled for September 1, as well as the necessary procedures leading up to Nomination Day on July 14.
During the meeting, Sugrim expressed that while some concerns were raised, he felt that Deputy Chief Elections Officer Aneal Giddings effectively addressed them.
“I think Mr. Giddings did a good job in laying out the timeframe and so on,” Sugrim stated. “We are just calling on GECOM to ensure a free and fair election.”
As Mohamed prepares to enter the political arena with his new party, questions regarding his recent sanctions and their impact on his campaign are likely to emerge in the run-up to the elections.
