The lifeless body of 16-year-old Justin Smith from Number 47 Village was discovered along the main access road on Sunday evening. While initial reports suggest a motorcycle crash, his mother believes he was attacked and beaten by three young men from their village.
She pointed to multiple wounds on her son’s body, including a significant injury to the back of his head, which she suspects occurred when he was forced off his motorcycle. “He had a chop on his hand and a big chop in his back… it is not an accident. If you look at the motorbike, you would see how they damaged it,” she explained.
Following the discovery, police, including traffic ranks and officers from the Criminal Investigation Department, were on the scene conducting investigations.
Smith’s mother revealed that her son had an ongoing feud with some former schoolmates, including incidents that had previously drawn the attention of the courts. She noted that just a week before his death, there was an altercation, and her son had threatened to retaliate.
As of now, police have not issued an official statement regarding the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
