Hgp Nightly News Reports | The Guyana Police Force has identified the decomposed body discovered inside a barrel at the Le Repentir Cemetery on Christmas night as that of 39-year-old Levi Williams.

Investigations indicate that Williams was allegedly murdered between the early hours of December 23 and the night of December 25, 2025, at a location on Charlotte Street in Georgetown. Reports suggest that Williams was accused by a group of men of stealing a firearm, leading to his severe beating with wire at a suspected drug block in the area.

According to police, after being restrained and brutally assaulted, Williams was placed inside a blue plastic bag. He was subsequently loaded into the back of a motor bus and transported to the cemetery, where his body was dumped in a barrel in a section between Louisa Row and St. Stephen Street.

The body was discovered around 11:40 p.m. on December 25. When found, Williams was wearing only short blue pants, with his head inside the barrel and his feet protruding.

Following a thorough investigation, three men have been charged with murder: Randy Mars, known as “Ratty,” a 42-year-old unemployed resident of Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke/Linden Highway; Aaron Khan, also known as “Tattoo Man,” a 29-year-old unemployed resident of Charlotte Street; and Jamal David, known as “Hundred,” a 44-year-old unemployed resident of West Ruimveldt.

Authorities have stated that two additional suspects are being actively sought as the investigation continues. The case has garnered significant attention, highlighting the escalating violence in the area and the urgent need for ongoing law enforcement efforts.
