Azeez, a student of Madina Academy, Cotton Field, and a resident of Adventure Village, Region Two, had visited the lake around midday on Monday with four friends for a recreational outing. He was operating a red-and-white Jet Ski while another friend rode a blue Jet Ski nearby.

According to a friend who spoke with police, Azeez’s Jet Ski began running low on fuel as they rode along the shoreline. Azeez reportedly told his friend to continue while he attempted to manage the remaining fuel. At approximately 16:00 hours, the friend observed Azeez maneuvering in a zigzag pattern before falling headfirst into the water. The friend immediately went to assist but was unable to locate him.

When the body was finally pulled from the lake, relatives were alarmed to discover that it bore multiple injuries, including a broken foot and head trauma. The nature of those injuries has led family members to believe that foul play may have been involved in the young man’s death.

Azeez’s body has since been taken to the Suddie Regional Hospital Mortuary, where it awaits an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.

This is a developing story. Updates will be provided as investigations and the autopsy process continue.
