A 52-year-old bond clerk was the victim of a robbery by bandits on motorcycles while walking along Red Road in Providence on Friday evening around 20:05 hours.

Initial investigations indicate that the victim was on her way home when she was approached by three motorcycles carrying six males. One of the pillion riders reportedly snatched her bag, which contained a cellphone and a sum of Guyanese currency, before the group fled the scene.
As of now, no arrests have been made. Authorities are reviewing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage as part of the ongoing investigation into the incident. Police urge anyone with information regarding the robbery to come forward to assist with the inquiry.
