Don Wright, also called “Danny,” a 44-year-old businessman of Tabatinga, Lethem, Central Rupununi, has been charged in connection with an alleged larceny of horse offence.
Wright was charged under Section 176 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.
On Friday, March 20, 2026, Wright appeared before His Worship Magistrate Omadatt Chandan at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was read to him. The Administration of Justice Act was applied, and Wright pleaded guilty.
Following his plea, the court sentenced him to two years’ imprisonment, with one year suspended.
