Osafo Grundell, also known as “Curl Up,” a 46-year-old businessman from Lot 35 Freeman Street, East La Penitence, has been arrested and charged with several offences, including the Assault of a Peace Officer and Escape from Lawful Custody.
Grundell was taken into custody on February 25, 2026, and subsequently charged with the following offences:
Five counts of Resisting a Peace Officer, contrary to Section 28(b) of the Summary Jurisdiction (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:02.
Disorderly Behaviour.
Two counts of Threatening Language.
Assaulting a Peace Officer.
Escape from Lawful Custody.
He appeared before Magistrate Ms. Singh at Georgetown Magistrate’s Court No. 11, where the charges were read to him. Grundell pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Bail was set at $430,000, and the case has been adjourned until March 27, 2026. Further details on the incident leading to his arrest have not been disclosed as investigations continue.
