Club Red Dragon is denying any connection to the fatal stabbing of 16-year-old Andel Martin, insisting the teenager was never on its premises.
In a statement, the club said it maintains a strict 18-and-over entry policy and rejected reports suggesting the incident occurred at or inside the establishment.
Martin, of Parfait Harmony, West Bank Demerara, was killed during an incident in the early hours of Monday along Robb Street, Lacytown, Georgetown.
Police said ranks were called to the area between Camp and Alexander Streets at about 1:30 a.m., where they found the teenager lying motionless on the roadway with a stab wound to the lower left side of his chest.
Investigators recovered a cutlass and a pair of footwear from the scene, both believed to be connected to the attack.
A suspect was later arrested on the West Bank of Demerara, and police investigations are ongoing.
