Commander Bacchus Visits Family of Deceased Chinese National Following Tragic Murder

On Monday, January 5, 2026, Commander of Regional Police Division #6, Assistant Commissioner Shivpersaud Bacchus, visited the home of the deceased Chinese national, Chen Yong Ping, who was tragically murdered during a robbery at his residence.

Accompanied by members of his team, Commander Bacchus met with Chen’s wife, Wu Xiaofeng, and their son, Cheng Dongrong. During this solemn visit, the Commander extended heartfelt condolences to the grieving family and reassured them of the Guyana Police Force’s commitment to ensuring that justice is served in this case.

The visiting team included Detective Assistant Superintendent J. Henry, Woman Assistant Superintendent C. Kelly, Assistant Superintendent K. Gravesande, Woman Inspector R. Benjamin, and other police ranks.
