Court Orders Paul Slowe to Lead Defense in Sexual Assault Case

In a significant development, Senior Magistrate Fabayo Azore at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court has overruled a no case submission made by Paul Slowe’s attorneys, requiring him to lead a defense in relation to sexual assault charges.

Slowe, who was charged on October 15, 2021, under Section 4(3) of the Sexual Offences Act, Chapter 8:03, is accused of sexually assaulting a female officer on three occasions in March and April 2019 at Police Headquarters, Eve Leary.

The Magistrate’s ruling was based on the prosecution’s presentation of sufficient evidence to establish a case against Slowe. As a result, the matter has been adjourned to October 2025 for Slowe to present his defense.

Senior Police Legal Advisor and Attorney-at-Law Mr. Mandel Moore represented the prosecution, while Slowe’s defense team included attorneys Nigel Hughes, Dexter Todd, and Dawn Cush.

The case continues to attract public attention as it unfolds in the court system.
