During the morning session of the Guyana Police Force’s two-day Inspectors’ Conference, Deputy Commissioner ‘Administration’ Mr. Ravindradat Budhram and Deputy Commissioner ‘Law Enforcement’ Mr. Wendell Blanhum delivered comprehensive presentations.

Deputy Commissioner Budhram focused on Administrative Issues and Concerns, emphasizing the importance of Stores Regulations and the Force’s Strategic Pillars, particularly Developing Our People, Partnerships, and Professionalism. He highlighted that robust administrative systems are essential for organizational efficiency, accountability, and overall professionalism within the Force.
Deputy Commissioner Blanhum provided an overview of the current crime situation in the country and outlined strategic measures being implemented to combat criminal activities. He pointed out prevailing trends, operational challenges, and the critical need for strengthened enforcement efforts. He noted that intelligence-led policing, proactive operations, and inter-agency collaboration are vital to reducing crime and enhancing public safety.
The conference, being held at the Police Officers’ Mess Annexe, Eve Leary, commenced this morning and will conclude tomorrow, Thursday, February 26, 2026.
This year’s theme, “Modern Policing for a Modern Nation: Integrating Technology and Leadership to Strengthen Public Safety and Trust,” reflects the Force’s ongoing commitment to innovation, strategic leadership, and improved service delivery aimed at building greater public confidence.
Senior officers from across the country are participating in the conference, which forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance operational effectiveness and elevate administrative standards within the Guyana Police Force.
