Elderly Resident of Eclipse Falls Receives New Home Through LCDS Village Fund

An elderly resident of Eclipse Falls, Barima-Waini (Region One), has received a newly constructed home aimed at enhancing her comfort and quality of life.

The home was funded through the Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS) Fund, a government initiative focused on supporting sustainable development in hinterland and Indigenous communities while advancing Guyana’s climate resilience.

The keys to the new home were officially handed over by the Minister of Housing and Water and Parliamentary Representative for Region One, Hon. Collin D. Croal, during a ceremony on Wednesday.

This initiative highlights the government’s commitment to improving living conditions in remote areas and fostering sustainable development in Guyana.
