Sentenced to One Year Imprisonment
Rohit Lall, a 28-year-old laborer from Paradise, has been charged with Unlawful Wounding and sentenced to one year in prison. His sentencing took place in absentia, following which he was arrested by police two days later.

The charges stem from an incident involving Hardat Bacchus, a 31-year-old construction worker from Walton Hall, which occurred on April 21, 2025. Lall was charged under Section 30(b) of the Summary Jurisdiction (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:02.
On July 23, 2025, the case was heard at the Anna Regina Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Tamieka Clarke. Lall was not present for the proceedings, leading to an ex parte trial where he was found guilty and sentenced to one year of imprisonment.
Following the sentencing, Lall was arrested on July 25, 2025, and is now facing the consequences of his actions.
