Vacancy 1: Welder
Location: Facilities Department – Sophia, Georgetown
Responsibilities:

• Perform basic metalwork, oxyacetylene, and arc welding jobs as required.
• Undertake metal burning and cutting activities related to fabricating various parts.
• Fabricate, join, and repair a variety of equipment and structures.

Requirements:

• G.T.I. Craft Certificate/Competency Based Education Certificate (Level 1 & 11) in Welding or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in welding.
• Ability to measure, fabricate, and weld metal components.

Vacancy 2: Inventory Management Assistant
Location: Inventory Department – GARDEN OF EDEN, East Bank Demerara
Responsibilities:

• Receive and issue materials from the stores.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures for inventory management.
• Supervise subordinate staff and maintain inventory records.

Requirements:

• Five (5) CSEC subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
• Certificate in Computer Studies.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in inventory management.

Vacancy 3: Transformer Database Analyst
Location: Specialized Equipment, Maintenance Substation Department – Sophia, Georgetown
Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and maintain GPL’s Transformer database.
• Ensure accurate updating and maintenance of the CIS Transformer Database.
• Prepare reports on transformers and manage stock of printing supplies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of relevant work experience OR Diploma in Computer Science with five (5) years of relevant work experience.
