Family Seeking Justice After Tragic Motorcycle Accident Claims Life of Young Man in Courtland

A motorcycle accident claimed the life of 28-year-old Travis Joseph from Courtland, Berbice, on Sunday afternoon. Joseph, who resided at Lot 19 in Courtland Village, worked as a Line Technician for Guyana Power and Light (GPL) in Region Six.

According to his brother, Troy Joseph, the incident occurred around 4:00 PM when Travis was riding his motorcycle home. Troy reported receiving varying accounts of the accident, noting that a vehicle was involved, which allegedly drove over Travis, inflicting multiple injuries.

Immediately after the collision, Travis was transported to Port Mourant Public Hospital and later moved to New Amsterdam Public Hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries.

The community is still in shock over the sudden loss, with family and friends remembering Travis as a well-liked and kind individual. Troy is now calling on the police to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the crash.

“I want the police to investigate the matter, let me get some justice for my brother,” he expressed.

The family and community continue to mourn the untimely passing of Travis Joseph.
