The funeral of the late Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Raphael Rose, was held today, August 12, 2025, at the Kildonan Community Centre in Corentyne, Berbice.

A large gathering, including the Commissioner of Police, members of the Executive Leadership Team, senior and junior officers, and other members of the Joint Services, came to support Mr. Rose’s family during this difficult time.
Known for his integrity and patriotism, Mr. Rose was not only a dedicated officer but also a protector and provider for his family. He was a loyal friend and a philanthropist who cared for those in need, leaving a lasting impact on his community.
Enlisted in the Guyana Police Force on August 22, 1988, Mr. Rose served with distinction, rising through the ranks from Constable to Assistant Commissioner. His career milestones included being promoted to various ranks, demonstrating unwavering dedication and love for his job.
Commissioner of Police Mr. Clifton Hickman praised Mr. Rose as a dedicated officer and natural leader, emphasizing his commitment to justice and the relationships he valued. His passing leaves an indelible mark on the police force.
Mr. Rose is survived by his wife, Fiona, children, relatives, colleagues, and many friends. He will be deeply missed.
