Steve George, a resident of Sophia, Georgetown, tragically lost his life on Wednesday following an accident along the Rockstone Trail, Linden.
According to reports from Police Headquarters, George was traveling with a 25-year-old driver of motorcar PAD 1602 when the incident occurred. The driver was allegedly speeding and, around 10:11 AM, lost control of the vehicle.
The car veered onto the northern side of the trail, overturned several times, and finally came to rest in the center of the roadway facing west. As a result of the incident, George sustained serious injuries and was immediately picked up in an unconscious state by bystanders. He was transported to the Linden Hospital Complex, where he was pronounced dead by a doctor on duty.
George’s body is currently at the Linden Hospital Complex, awaiting a post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, the driver of the motorcar is in police custody and is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
