Five Arrested in Turkeyen Cocaine Bust

The Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) has arrested five individuals following the discovery of five parcels of cocaine during an operation in Turkeyen.

In a press release, CANU reported that the intelligence-led operation took place on Wednesday. Two motor vehicles were intercepted in the vicinity, leading to the seizure of several parcels containing a whitish powdery substance, which was suspected to be cocaine.

Upon testing, the substance was confirmed to be cocaine, totaling 16.784 kilogrammes. The five arrested individuals were taken to CANU headquarters for further questioning along with the seized narcotics.

Investigations into the matter are currently ongoing as authorities work to gather more information.
