Nigel London Eliakim has expressed frustration following an incident on the Soesdyke-Linden Highway, where he was ordered by a police officer and highway workers to pull his truck off the road due to chaotic traffic conditions. In a social media post, Eliakim described the situation, emphasizing that many drivers were ignoring traffic rules and causing congestion.
“I, being the law-abiding citizen, abided by the order of the rank,” he stated in his post, highlighting his compliance with the police directive. However, he claims the result of his cooperation was damaging, as he faced tire issues after moving his vehicle.
Eliakim questioned, “WHO is paying for my tire?! Who?” expressing his concern over the lack of accountability in the situation. He further criticized the system, suggesting that when individuals comply with authority, they are often left to bear the consequences alone.
