Three juveniles and an 18-year-old, identified as Shaquan Straker of Zeelugt, East Bank Essequibo, have been charged with assaulting a young man at Windsor Forest Park last Sunday.
The group faces charges for Attempt to Commit a Misdemeanor, specifically Common Assault, under Sections 35 and 43 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01. Additionally, one of the juveniles and Straker have been jointly charged with Attempt to Commit a Felony, namely Robbery with Aggravation, contrary to Sections 36 and 222(b) of the same act.
On Friday, the four individuals appeared before Magistrate Rabindranauth Singh at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court, where the charges were read. All four pleaded not guilty and were each granted bail in the sum of $100,000.
The case has been adjourned, with the next court date set for Wednesday, March 18, 2026.
