Corporals Edem Roseval and Teo Lindey, along with Able Rating Mark Bharret, have recently earned professional certifications through the Ministry of Health, enhancing their skills in the medical and pharmacy sectors.

CPL Roseval completed the Medical Laboratory Assistant Certificate after a year of dedicated study. This qualification equips him with vital diagnostic skills to strengthen the Guyana Defence Force’s (GDF) medical services, ensuring timely and accurate health support for personnel.
CPL Lindey and AR Bharret successfully finished the nine-month Pharmacy Assistant Certificate program, which covered topics such as Pharmacology, Good Dispensing Practices, Communication, the Health Care System, Computer Skills, and Store Management. This training also included practical experience at health facilities. Notably, AR Bharret graduated with distinction, placing second in his cohort and receiving a special award from the Ministry for his outstanding performance.
Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Nigel Langhorne, Commanding Officer of the GDF Medical Corps, attended the graduation ceremony to personally commend the graduates on their achievements.
With these new qualifications, the ranks are better equipped to contribute to their departments, enhancing the GDF’s medical support capacity and improving the quality of care provided to its members.
