GDF Receives Two New Helicopters as Part of Recapitalization Plan

News

The Guyana Defence Force (GDF) has bolstered its operational capabilities with the acquisition of two new Bell helicopters—a Bell 407 and a Bell 429. The delivery took place earlier today as part of the GDF’s ongoing recapitalization plan.

Both aircraft will undergo certification processes before being commissioned into service. This enhancement of the GDF’s aerial fleet is expected to significantly improve its operational readiness and support for various missions, including search and rescue, reconnaissance, and logistical support.

The introduction of these helicopters reflects the GDF’s commitment to modernization and preparedness in serving the nation.
