The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) expresses its deepest condolences on the passing of Mr. Hubert “Senor” Braithwaite, a revered figure in Guyanese football.

Mr. Braithwaite, who served as the national captain and a dedicated central defender, represented British Guiana with pride, earning 53 international caps between 1949 and 1966. In addition to his football achievements, he was also a proud representative in rugby, showcasing his athletic excellence across multiple disciplines.
The GFF honors Mr. Braithwaite’s extraordinary contributions to both sport and country, recognizing his lasting legacy that will continue to inspire future generations of athletes.
