Glen Lall Message : The Betrayal of Guyana: A Call to Action

In a Tiktok Video Message he Stated : President Ali has just hammered the final nail into Guyana’s coffin. The PPP, PNC, and AFC have already handed away our oil, relinquishing profits and exempting Exxon from paying taxes. They allowed padded, inflated bills to pass unchecked and refused to re-fence the oil projects. They neglected to cap Exxon’s outrageous interest rates or install Guyanese meters at the pumps.

There’s no depletion policy, no proper reviews, and no real audits. They even rejected help from international oil experts. Now, President Ali has pushed the button for Guyana’s cremation.

He has just passed a law that shields ExxonMobil’s parent company from being held fully liable for an oil spill disaster. If an oil spill poisons the Atlantic Ocean, sickens our people, and wipes out our coastline, ExxonMobil can walk away—no cleanup, no full compensation, no responsibility.

Let me break that down so everyone can understand. Imagine bandits walking into your home and cleaning it out. Your own parents turn to you and say, “If the bandits injure you, cripple you, or kill anyone, they are not responsible.” That is exactly what President Ali did when he signed that law.

Have you ever heard anything more sickening than that? They didn’t just give away our oil; they sold out our right to protect ourselves. They tied our hands behind our backs and told Exxon, “Do what you want, take what you want.” And if you wreck the place, don’t worry—we’ll take more loans on the backs of the Guyanese people to clean it up.

This is not leadership; this is economic treason. These are not public servants anymore; this is a cartel armed not with guns but with pens, operating in broad daylight, selling out every drop of our wealth and stripping us of our right to justice and safety.

Wake up, Guyana! They haven’t just betrayed us; they have shackled us. They are not building our future; they are burying it. They are not leading us; they are looting us.

This is your country. This is your oil. This is your future. If we don’t rise up now, trust me—tomorrow will be too late. This is a message for you, Guyana. Please share it.
