Shut-ins, pensioners, persons living with disabilities and other beneficiaries can access assistance by visiting https://cashgrant.gov.gy/ and selecting the “Get Help” option.

Applicants will then be required to provide their first name, last name, telephone number and address. They must also select the type of assistance they require.

Available options include home assistance for persons living with disabilities, help with opening a bank account, assistance with applying for a Tax Identification Number, or support with registering for an electronic identification card.

Once all the required information is submitted, a representative will contact the applicant within a few days.

Up to April 30, a total of 289,565 persons had received their $100,000 cash grants. Of that figure, 265,281 beneficiaries received their payments directly into their bank accounts.

The expanded assistance programme reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring that vulnerable and disadvantaged groups can access the cash grant with minimal barriers and with support tailored to their specific needs.
